Summer Montessori Sessions (ages 18 months-3 years or ages 3-5)
Offered Each Week Throughout the Summer Program
Summer Montessori for Toddlers (ages 18 months-3 years)
Designed as an introduction to the Montessori classroom or as a continuation for those children currently enrolled in the toddler program during the regular school year. The first day of the session, we encourage one parent or caregiver to stay with the child. Once the children are engaged in the classroom activities, they are comfortable exploring the magic of Montessori on their own for the duration of the session. Children explore and experiment with the classroom materials while striving to improve motor skills, language abilities, and socialization skills. They also enjoy singing songs, listening to stories, doing arts and crafts, and outdoor play.
Note: Enrollment limited to 12 students per class, and there is a 5-week minimum for each toddler student’s enrollment.
Summer Montessori Children’s House (ages 3-5)
An introduction for children who are new to the Montessori classroom or a continuation for children who are enrolled in our primary program during the regular school year. In the Montessori classroom, children move about and choose materials from easily accessible shelves. One child might paint as another places beads into groups of ten to perform a math function and a third child prepares a snack, while the teacher works with a small group forming words using sandpaper letters. Children also enjoy singing, storytelling, and outdoor play.
