As we turn the corner toward summer and the end of the school year, there is much to report and still much to accomplish. So much so that we would like to invite you to join us for our remaining scheduled all-school community meetings.

The focus of this gathering is twofold:

Volunteerism: Simply stated: GMS needs your ideas, energy, and helping hands in so many ways. Opportunities abound here on campus for each and every one of you in the parent community to find a way to participate that suits you best and benefits the school and the children the most. From the Development Committee to the new Parents Association, from next year’s Soirée Committee to Classroom Coordinators, there is a role for you in helping build a dynamic culture of giving. We know your time and skills are extremely valuable, so please know that the school would be grateful for your involvement in even the most modest of ways.

Capital Project: We have exciting news to share and discuss with the community: Greenspring Montessori School’s Board of Trustees recently approved a plan to embark on a capital project and capital campaign to renovate or even fully replace the Main Building. As we are in the most conceptual stages of the process, it is vital that we take the time early on to articulate the school’s vision and rationale for the project and, more importantly, to seek your input and address all questions and concerns.

When and Where: Two chances were scheduled to join in the dialogue about ways to support the school’s present activities and future growth:

  • Wednesday, May 14 from 5:00 – 6:30pm (now past)
  • Friday, May 30 from 9 – 10:30am

Please join us on May 30, if you did not come on May 14, in the Multipurpose Room!
